Rehabilitation & Detox Services

Mission Viejo DeTox
When someone is addicted to or dependent upon some form of mood-altering chemical, they require detoxification to start the rehabilitation and recovery process. This stage of your recovery process is designed to remove all traces of drugs and alcohol from the body. In some cases, maintenance medication may be given to ease the withdrawal symptoms associated with alcohol, illicit drugs, and prescription medication.
The length of this detox process is determined by several factors:
• The individual’s unique body composition and metabolism.
• The particular drug and dosage that was being used.
• How long the drug has been taken.
• If there are any other addictions involved.
Detoxification is generally a safe process when undergone in a supervised clinical setting. Since detox can potentially be very severe — and in some cases, deadly — it’s not advised for individuals to do this on their own at home. You can be sure your in good hands at our Mission Viejo detox center.
If you or someone you know is currently addicted to a narcotic, whether it is recreational, habitual or because they have been prescribed pain pills but can’t seem to stop taking them, please call us for a free assessment and consultation.

Mission Viejo Residential Treatment

Some people require more support and structure before moving on to the next phase of the recovery process. Whether that next phase is going home or stepping down to a lower level of care like intensive outpatient or aftercare services, we can help.  Southern California Sunrise Recovery Center offers a unique inpatient program that incorporates scientific-based traditional methods of substance abuse with behavioral health treatments.  We provide treatment modalities like group therapy, individual therapy, family or couples counseling, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and motivational interviewing.  We also provide evidence-based, holistic methods such as aromatherapy, guided meditation, mind-body therapies, creative arts therapies, Reiki and yoga.

Co-Occurring Disorders
People with co-occurring disorders are best served through integrated treatment. With integrated treatment, practitioners can address mental and substance abuse disorders at the same time, often creating better outcomes. Increasing awareness is important in helping identify and treat co-occurring disorders. Early detection and treatment can improve treatment outcomes and the quality of life for those who need these services.
People with mental health disorders are more likely to experience an alcohol or drug problem than people without mental health disorders. Co-occurring disorders can be difficult to diagnose due to the complexity of symptoms, as both may vary in severity. What makes this even more challenging is the fact that both addiction and mental health issues share many of the same traits and/or symptoms. Some individuals find that they have mild to moderate co-occurring disorders, once addressed the recovery process gets easier.
Southern California Sunrise Recovery Center will investigate and treat these disorders and addiction issues.
